DYFI CEC condemns the killing of 31 people in Kokrajhar village of Assam

DYFI Central Committee strongly condemns the killing of 31 people in Kokrajhar village of Assam by the BODOLAND goondas. This is a repeat of the selective killing of "Bengal Muslims" which had happened in Assam last year. Such fascist attacks should not be allowed in a democratic and secular country like India.

We demand that Government should take immediate steps to keep the situation under control and should also take care not to repeat such incidents. The victims' families should be given protection and should be rehabilitated immediately.

Many communities in the disease zones have inadequate sanitation that allow frequent trash piles and open sewers to serve as mosquito breeding and feeding grounds, according to the final outcome statement from the Aedes aegypti summit last month.
