DYFI Delhi State Committee organises programme against gender violence on 16th December 2014.

DYFI Delhi State Committee organises programme named "SUN RAHA HAIN NA TU" against gender violence on 16th December 2014.

In India, women’s struggle for equality has a glorious history spanning across centuries overlapping with great social reforms movements, national independence struggle, peasant uprisings and working class agitations. But the arrested growth of democracy in the 67 years of independent India has meant continued suppression of women in family and society. So the fight for gender equality remains a major struggle for the democratic forces including the democratic youth movement.
